Description of Service
VCI SCRAPER is a software platform that allows users to request collection of publicly available business data through natural-language prompts. The platform's intelligence agent ("SPYDER") parses requests, identifies appropriate public sources, executes data collection through automated tools, and delivers structured datasets in CSV or other formats.
Scope of Collection
The Service collects data only from sources that are:
- Publicly accessible without authentication
- Not protected by technical access controls intended to restrict scraping
- Not subject to enforceable contractual prohibitions on collection that have been brought to our attention
VCI SCRAPER does not scrape login-protected platforms, bypass paywalls, defeat CAPTCHAs of the kind designed to block scraping, or collect non-public personal information.
Accounts & Security
Account Creation
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Account Security
You must immediately notify us at security@vciscraper.com of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
One Account Per User
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent free trial limits, evade a suspension, or otherwise abuse the Service is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts and forfeiture of credits.
Credits & Payment
How Credits Work
The Service operates on a credit-based, pay-as-you-go model. Each new account receives 100 free credits on signup. Additional credits are purchased through one-time payments processed by Stripe. Credits are deducted in proportion to the cost of each data pull, as estimated by SPYDER before execution and confirmed by you.
Payment Terms
- All payments are processed in U.S. dollars via Stripe.
- Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment.
- Credits do not expire.
- Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice; price changes do not retroactively affect credits already purchased.
Refunds
Credits are generally non-refundable. We will issue refunds in the following circumstances:
- Failed pulls. If a paid pull fails through no fault of yours (e.g., source goes offline, internal system error), the held credits are automatically released back to your account.
- Duplicate charges. Stripe duplicate-charge errors will be refunded within 5 business days.
- Unauthorized charges. If you report an unauthorized charge within 30 days, we will investigate and refund as appropriate.
- Within 14 days of purchase, unused credits only. If you have purchased credits and have not yet used any of them, you may request a refund within 14 days for the unused balance. Once any credits from a purchase have been spent, the entire purchase becomes non-refundable.
Refund requests must be sent to billing@vciscraper.com.
Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The AUP prohibits, among other things:
- Using the Service to harvest data for harassment, stalking, doxxing, or unlawful discrimination
- Scraping protected health information (PHI), financial account data, or other regulated personal information
- Reselling raw VCI SCRAPER output as a competing data product
- Using the Service to facilitate spam, phishing, or other unlawful outreach
Violations may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of credits, and referral to law enforcement.
